anyone heard of cambridge occupational analysists careers programme - is it any good

My DD is 15 and her school are offering this careers programme to take place in school lessons at a cost of £80 plus. We can opt out if we want. Has anyone every heard of it/used it/found it useful.

My DD is pretty much decided on her A level subjects/possible uni/future career already. Is it worth the money?

I don't mind paying if its good, but if its just online box ticking and not much one on one advice - then I think I'll sit this one out. And spend the money on wine and chocolate (I will share)

Any views much appreciated.

Sorry no knowledge of that one - my DD did one in school about 18 months ago which cost around £30 and she found it pretty useless tbh. It was a sort of questionnaire about interests/aptitude and a careers guidance interview. At the time she was interested in a medical career so all she came out of it with were a few booklets about NHS careers. She was also interested in Egytology but was laughed at basically which I thought was a shame. I would say her main strengths were analytical but it didn't seem to pick up on that.at all. She has now completely changed her mind and is considering law.

We found the careers talks by alumni or contacts of the school much more interesting and useful to be honest. For example in the medical one there was a woman who ran a lab, medical physicist and a alumni who designed prosthetic limbs. Careers I would never have thought of.
