It's time fod my daughter to choose her subjects at Secondary School in Glasgow. Obviously some subjects like maths are compulsory, however so is Religious & Moral Education (3 periods per week) Do we have the right/option to opt-out of this subject? And, if so what would be provided during this time-another subject or just supervision? Many thanks for any advice

DD has opted out of it at her English School.
Not sure what is filling that timetable space.
Not too bothered as she's doing 13 other subjects!

You have the right to withdraw her.The lack of awareness of this right was highlighted in the news a couple of days ago:
