Secondary teachers- threatened assault from pupil

I was threatened with assault yesterday my a diffiuclt pupil. I genuinely felt intimidated. It was dealt with by SMT which resulted in my getting an apology. Am I being unreasonable to expect that more happens?

No, I would expect more than a simple apology. Depends on the circumstances, (i.e. did other pupils hear the threat? Was the pupil responding to something else going on in his/her life? Was the puptil properly apologetic, or pushed into it?)
