Ability Banding / Appeal

Just wondering if panel take into consideration Bands when appealing?

Child is Banded A - above average,does it help during our appeal as academic ability is high which is part of appeal and childs needs to attend that school for academic reasons as well as other factors.

I wouldn't read anything into the comments. However, I would be concerned about panel members not asking questions. Yes, they should have had all the documents before the appeal but it is still good practise to ask questions even if they think they know the answers. Failing to ask questions can leave parents feeling that the panel hasn't done a proper job.
