My dd,in year 8 at the local school is going for an interview and test at the private school nearby.I was told by the admissions tutor that she will be tested on the day using a multiple choice test.I initially though it would be a verbal and non-verbal reasoning test but i can't find one for her age 12-13.So i've ordered Bond papers in maths and english-but they're not multi-choice.I was also told that they are available at Wh Smiths and they are bond-something.Does anyone have any ideas what these might be?.I'm a bit concerned that i might be being given the same information as the 10/11 year old candidates as this age is the standard entry level.

The Bond Non Verbal and Verbal reasoning stop at 11+ - 12+ as you say.

I have never come across multiple choice tests with Bond books though - perhaps someone else will come along and enlighten you.

Is it possible they are the schools own tests and they have just suggested Bond as practice?

Yes Diabolo, you may well be right.Do you know if there are any other tests for this age group involving multiple choice?.I think i'll have to get back to the admissions lady again.

Might be best for you to make sure. I've only ever used Bond, so don't know if any other companies use multiple choice.

Good luck.

Bond do have multiple choice papers, but not in the practice books. You will need to look for Practice Test packs.

These are 11 + Bond also have 12 and 13+ papers but not multi choice. 11+ would at least get dd used to format.
