Orleans Park School in Twickenham is excellent, friend's children are there, they love it

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/04/2012 15:14

Not RC though

Richard Challoner in Kingston?

Rydens School in Walton has been fairly average for a long time but I think is slowly getting better. I'm hearing good things anyway.

If you live in some parts of Walton you might scrape into Heathside in Weybridge which is a fairly good school. Outstanding Ofsted and Oxbridge grads etc.

Neither of them RC though.

hatchypom · 02/04/2012 15:33

Walton is catchment for Salesians, an excellent local rc school

Teddington School is good, with a fantastic little RC primary nearby. Also a lovely area to live.

There are plans to open a RC secondary school in Twickenham - the consultation period has just ended and results not published yet but it might be worth keeping an eye on this.

We are in Twickenham and got offered a place ar St Marks in Hounslow. We didn't end up taking it, but by all accounts it is a great school.

Richard Challoner, Catholic Boys School in Kingston seems to be well thought of.

mumwithtwokids · 11/04/2012 17:29

I believe Richard Challoner give priority to children who live in the catchment area and attend one of the feeder primary schools.

sea74 · 11/04/2012 18:57

Good to know... I am a bit against one-sex schools.

St Marks is mixed!

Esher High is C of E but is outstanding Ofsted and a very good school. Heathside in Weybridge also outstanding, Hinchley Wood is outstanding too (or good with outstanding. All over subscribed though. As are Kingston schools from what friends there tell me. If DC are academic, you can try for Tiffin in Kingston. RC friends live in the area you mention but send DC to Wimbledon College which is RC state school and seems very strong in all sorts of ways.
