Are your children happy at Dunraven?

Hello, our son is 13 (year 8) and not very happy at the French Lycée in South Kensington. We're considering moving him to Dunraven which is round the corner from where we live. As the open day is in September we won't have a chance to visit the school before applying. We'd love some feedback from anyone who has children there and it would be great to have an opportunity to get into the school walls - any suggestions?

Have you tried phoning and asking if you could have a talk and look round with someone as you are considering an in year transfer if a place comes up?
I don't know if the school has public events like primary schools have Summer Fairs etc. Maybe public performances of a play? Do you not have friends and neighbours with children at the school as you are so close? There is lots of stuff on the website, incuding video clips etc.

Bumping this anyway, as I know there is at least one MNer with children at the school.

As you will have seen from old threads I know children who are at the school, and parents with children there, and all seem very happy indeed - the children have said, unasked, how good they think their school is. All those with older children have sent younger siblings there.

Also, what are the factors in a school which would make your child happier in school?
I would contact the school and ask about the clubs and activities that would interest your DS.
