"5 A-C grade GCSE" stats question

Just curious here. How are the GCSEs that are taken early by someone counted. Do they get carried over to the year that person takes the bulk of their GCSEs or do they count in the year they are taken, so are included in the stats for the cohort of the year above?

Does that make sense???

Yes it does make sense!

AFAIK they get carried forward to year 11, so the rsults are always of the same cohort. That's why schools often put students in a year early, so they can either bank the C gade, or identify which students need a kick up the proverbial the following year.

Yes early passes get included in the year 11 stats when the student gets there. If there are resits involved, then the banked grade is used.
