dilemma-which school do I send ds to?

Ds is due to start secondary school sept. We have opted for a good school with good results and facilities where he will have to get the bus too.the only thing is he will not no anyone! We are now having second thoughts tho. There is a school within walking distance he could go to that his friends will be going to.the reason ds can go to this other school is that we moved house. I don't want him to be miserable. Whose decision is it? I'm really stressed about it. We find out next thursday

DD went to the feeder school with her 30 classmates.
In amongst the 285 in the year they went their own ways.
She is now joined at the hip to best friend and her whole gang are non junior school people

if the school has a decent pastoral system, not being with old friends is almost an advantage - he can reinvent himself.
Two kids in DDs year took the opportunity to change their surnames (remarriages during primary)

DS has more from primary in his tutor but they are not who he spends time with!
