After all the hard work and prepping on our own as DD is at a prep school which promotes leaving at 13+ not 11, the waiting is agonising and stressful. We already know that she did not get CLGS. No interview, therefore all finished for her there. There were between 700 and 800 candidates for about 60 places I think, so c'est la vie. 3 more independent school results to come, and the state school outcome on 1 March. This future school affects so many family and financial decisions. I really wish there was one exam (like the common entrance, for example) and it applied to all the schools (didn't it used to be called 11+!) and she had missed one day off school rather than the 5 days so far, and more if she does receive an invitation to an interview. Anyone else feeling this angst?
