My ds took a test at RS however he didn't have a good feeling about the school. We haven't got the results back yet so he might not even make it :(

How is it really? is it a hot house? Do they care about the students? .....

They care about the students a lot in my experience, I have found the pastoral care to be outstanding.

It's not the kind of school that will suit every child, but if it is the right school for your child then it will be brilliant. I wouldn't say it's a hot house, but it is a high achieving grammar school and they do expect a lot from the students. They expect much higer than average SAT results at the end of KS3, but they inspire the children to want to do the work, even at home, and they teach to a high standard.
