Ask at school, sometimes teachers do tutoring or they might know someone to recommend.

My DD shares a house with a Cambridge 3rd year Maths Student who does some tutoring (aiming to be a Maths Teacher), if you want me to enquire?

Milliways, whilst I do not doubt for a moment the intentions of your DD's friend, a consideration needs to be made as to just how empathetic a Cambridge Mathematics undergraduate will be to a KS 3 student who is struggling.

I am not saying such a student could not be a good teacher, and I wholeheartedly applaud their ambition. But it can take years of experience for a person extremely able at mathematics to begin to understand the difficulties a child may be having.

Good Point complex number (and I know it is different but I believe all the Maths Uni Students have to learn to cope with difficulties grasping things as Degree Maths is light years above A level!)

I believe this girl would be good, and she has been tutoring for a while. Suppose the best thing is to give it a trial.

OP - sending ou a PM.
