When are results of GCSE modules available?

DD1 is in Year 10, and has sat a Maths module this term, also a controlled assessment for English (and at least 1 speaking/ listening assessment, I think). I was just wondering if anyone could tell me when we will be told the results.

DS1 got told his mark from an English 'test' last week. I don't know if it was the controlled assessment though, or just a normal half-termly test.

I think the English is when his teacher marks it, and the maths result is mid January.

Edexcel maths results are out Jan 12th.

Thanks for that. I suppose I was expecting something a bit more official than just being told by the teacher. Do they get a proper 'results' sheet in August of Year 10, or does it all wait for the end of Year 11? There are so many 'bits' to some of the exams, I also find it difficult to keep track of what's a real GCSE assessment, and what's a practise test.

At our school they send an assessment sheet every 6 weeks. He's due one now in fact.

DD1 has been doing controlled assessments in english since year 10 and there hasnt been any "offical" marks back yet due to the fact the teachers must mark the assessments, get another teacher to mark it and then send them off, they also have time for students who have done so well to re do the assessments, im not sure if it is the same for you but they need to be send of the be marked by the exam board so i wouldnt expect them back until amount 6 weeks after they have been send off. DD1 did ict controlled assesment started at the begining of year 10 and only got the results back in august but it might be different at other schools

He should get a results slip from the exam board (via the school) when he gets his maths results on the 12th.

We had an English assessment result a couple of weeks ago. It's all very confusing though.
