Oh god, that time of year again! The horrors and stresses of last years UKCAT and BMAT just came flooding back there, Gelatinous.

Good luck to all!

Mine finishes at 11.15, hopefully he'll phone....

just had a text saying it was OK. I did hope he'd remember to update me. Hope your ds isn't keeping you in suspense yellowstone.

He took a while gelatinous! He said he found it hard, much harder than the practice tests - it's unnerved him. Ran completely out of time on Section 2 and made a batch of entirely random guesses rather than leaving blanks. Did your DS do the BMAT or was he doing something else?

DD2 got the wrong date for her HAT in 2009, the Head of Sixth pointed her in the direction of the BMAT, ELAT, HAT room just in the nick of time. At least DS was less dozy than that, but it doesn't sound great.

MAT not BMAT for ds. But one of his friends did BMAT and also thought it was hard, so hopefully all not lost for your ds and it was a hard paper.

Thanks for that, I'll pass it on - news of others finding it hard always helps :)

At least there's not too long to wait to hear the outcome for all these tests. Interview offers/ rejections will come in less than a month, I hope he'll forget it 'til then.

Hope your DS gets the e-mail he wants!

gelatinous · 02/11/2011 22:20

And I hope your ds does too yellowstone. How long is it roughly until such emails might appear? I assume they have to give you some time to sort out travel to interview? (you're evidently a pro at this!).

I was thinking it was a great relief it was all over, but I suppose it's really just the start of it (hopefully).

Maths and Medicine start on the same date, the 11th December, which is the second week of interviews. Colleges vary, but not much and give around a week or 10 days notice for those interviewing in the first week for Arts. The scientists seem to hear around the same time, so maybe start getting tense around 25th November?!

OK thanks. Will try and forget all about it until then. Well, except for keeping a pair of toes discretely crossed.
