It's about small scale development and lesser economically developed countries & everything is very technical

I won't let her use wiki (mean mummy) so where do I she look?

There is a website set up by teachers to add resources to here which may be of use. You can use the search button to track down relevant info. Or there may be a powerpoint in this lot which may help too.

The TES resource website should have plenty of related topics. They usualy have powerpoints as we. You will need to register to access the information.
