Kingsdale school bus

I have a friend whose DS is in Y7 at Kingsdale. He's currently going on the P4 from Brockley but there's a long old walk at the end of it. Friend has repeatedly tried to get info out of Kingsdale regarding school bus but noone is returning his calls or emails. I know there's a bus from Ashmead and a bus from somewhere in E Dulwich, but does anyone know if the Ashmead bus stops in Brockley or if there's a Brockley bus?

Does the P13 go anywhere near?

Use the TfL Journey Planner site here to see what the options are.

Have you tried asking on here

I think Kingsdale are having yet more problems with their phone system - we got a text the other day about it. If she can't get through on the phone, tell her to go to Parent's Forum tomorrow - Senior Leaders are always there to answer questions.

AFAIK there are 3 bus routes, but I'm not sure which way they exactly go.

DD and her friends sometimes incorporate the P4 into their bus-hopping schedule, but going the other way. Surely there are others from Brockley? How do they get there/back?

Thanks guys. What I'm trying to find out is about the actual Kingsdale bus - ie the one they privately hire to get kids from xyz location to the school gates. We know they exist!

DD used to be at Goodrich and in the days when Kingsdale were still trying to attract students rather than turning them away, they started putting on a bus from ED, and also one from Ashmead in Lewisham, which as far as I know are still running. Friend said he'd been told his DS should be able to get one, but no-one can tell him where from.

They still do a bus from ED I was told (at open day three weeks ago) it picks up at St Johns & Clements and Goodrich and St Antony's

Thanks Tatty. Friend is in Brockley and apparently there's one from there - who knew it could be so hard to find out about!

I picked up a copy of the latest Newsletter at the Parents Forum (no chance of getting hold of one via DD, left to her you wouldn't think such a thing existed) and noticed they had a full list of the pick up points, times & prices - very detailed, covered a couple of pages.

If you can't get hold of one I'll try & remember to have a look when I get home.

Fab, thanks Psammy.

Sorry just remembered this thread -
According to the newsletter there's currently a morning bus which starts at Crawford, then goes via Oliver Goldsmith-Ivydale-Hollydale-Edmund Waller-Kender-Ashmead to Kingsdale .The afternoon bus is Crawford first & Ashmead last, so you get a long journey from Crawford in the morning but a short one home, and vice versa for Ashmead.

Another bus goes Stillness-Fairlawn-Horniman-Elliot Bank in the morning & then reverse order in the afternoon but doesn't stop at Stillness.

The other bus is Bellenden-St Johns & St Clements-Dog Kennel Hill-Heber-Goodrich in the morning and Goodrich-Dog Kennel Hill-St Johns & St Clements in the afternoon.

Thanks so much. I think the Stillness one would probably be his nearest. I'm not seeing my friend til next Monday but will tell him then.
