Current Yr 9 - will they still do SATs at the end of the year?

Is this still going on? Not really clear - do the children still do them but school do not publish them?

OK - I know I sound stupid - but is there still the same KS3 curriculum? - and it is just tested thru end of Yr 9 exams as opposed to the SAT system?

Yes, levels still need to be assessed and reported at the end of KS3, it's just teacher assessment now instead of external exams.

Some schools used the scrapping of SATs to start GCSE courses earlier in Y9 and condensed the KS3 curriculum into a shorter time period, but that will probably be changing now that modular exams are being scrapped.
