Yes, I know we should keep quiet about the results, but sorry. I'm so proud of DS2 who managed 4 A grades in his AS levels I'm going to tell everyoneGrin

Why should we keep quiet about the results?? Isn't mumsnet here for the good times as well as the bad?

That is a FABBY set of results! What subjects will he carry forward and what/where does he hope to go after 6th form?

spanieleyes · 18/08/2011 11:38

He did Maths, History, Law and Politics and is carrying on with the first three. Hopefully he wants to study Financial Maths at University.
As much as I am proud of his results, I am also proud of the fact that he has managed two school years without getting excluded! He has emotional and behavioural problems ( borderline Aspergers) and spent the first 3-4 years of secondary school being excluded with almost monotonous regularitySad However, he has worked just as hard on his emotional maturity as he has academically and-whilst he is never going to be the most sociable of people, we are getting there!

Well done to your DS2 and to you for supporting him. DD3 is 19 .is Dyspraxic and has another mild learning difficulty. She has just passed BTECH First Diploma in IT with a merit. She had worked very hard and can now go on to the level 3 course. Yes I know this is a bit behind others but she is getting there. We are so
pleased that she can finally go onto an A level equivalent course.

Dh was up working distributing A level results at our local school today. One lad who goes part time to the school and part time to the local special school and is Autistic got 3 A* and is off to Cambridge. It just shows what can be done with the right help.
