Hello. Ds's primary class has suffered from low grade bullying since reception which his primary has never got on top of. DS has just found out his class for moving to secondary and one of the key bullys will be in it. DS hasnt really been a victim. but his best friend also in the class has been and still is. DS is just in awe of this child and can be manipulated by him as can the teachers. Part of the reason it continues. Should I discuss this with the secondary school now or wait and see how things settle when all these little fish reach the big pond

Gut reaction only, but I would write to the school mentioning your concerns, but really only in an advisory mode. I am sure the school would welcome a "Heads-up" before term starts so they can catch the early signs and nip it in the bud should it happen.

My experience is that it's all very different in secondary, has your DS got any connections higher up the school, a mate who lives in street etc anyone that could say hello to him on his first day and make it known your son isnt the newest fresh bait in the school ?
