German GCSE - Intensive Spoken German Courses

My son is taking GCSE German and although he is reasonably confident writing it, he is not at all confident about speaking it and this is going to affect the oral part of his exam badly.

Does anyone know of any intensive spoken German courses that they can recommend in the London or Cambridge area, which he could attend during the holidays, possibly just a couple of days. Does anyone have any particular colleges or language specialist organisations they can recommend? - Many thanks.

I don't think a couple of days are going to make much difference! Why don't you send him on a residential language course in Austria?

I'd contact the Goethe Institut in London www.goethe.de/ins/gb/lon/enindex.htm?wt_sc=london . They are superb and I'm sure do tailor made one-to-one courses.

I don't know about intensive courses but I found the Michel Thomas Italian course (on CDs) absolutely brilliant.

You have to be careful with the accent. Apparently the MT French course will give you good French with a Polish accent.

Thank you very much for your responses. Have also posted under "Education" to see if I get any additional responses.
