I am genuinely interested in peoples opinions of Marborough College. I have visited Canford which I like, but was wondering if Marlborough was worth a visit. Previous MN threads seem to make guarded negative comments about the school which I am not sure I quite understand. My son is not sporty, so how would he fair at Marlborough ?

I prefer ‘scruffy’ and relaxed to the other extreme at that age TBH.
I also know a lot of ‘scruffy’ university students (traditionally university is the time to dress down) and they include many ambitious, hard working and bright young people. They will dress more formally when required.

I don’t think enforcement of a dressed-up look at a private school will necessarily correlate with success in future employment Wink.
