Reigate school. Getting into an established year 7. Impossible?

I am hoping to move to Reigate in the near future with my partner who works & currently lives in the area. (If I ever find a buyer for my house first) My eldest is currently year 7 at a very good school in East Sussex, & Reigate school seems similarly good so we have decided on this area for our new start together. I am a bit concerned as to how oversubscribed this school seems to be though. When I last spoke to the council the waiting list was as long as your arm. My concern is that dd will not be offered a place at any time in the near future. Our plan is to move as close as possible to the school to maximise our chances. I also have another dd who is currently year 5 who has special needs that we are hoping to get into Sandcross school as I have heard it is good for SEN. I am hoping They will both start in years 6 & 8 September. Does anyone have any idea of what the movement is like at Reigate school & how long we are likely to have to wait for a place? Thanks! :)
