Any websites which can help me help my year 7 dd with her maths

She's in year 7 so I guess that's key stage 3 is it?

She is particularly worried about algebra but I would like to find a site which covers all the stuff she's been doing this year.

She can;t show me a maths book as the teacher has taken them.

She has a bad maths teacher and so is very worried about a test which is coming in a couple of weeks.

Can your DD get onto the Mymaths website? That is the one that the DC's school uses, but I'm not sure if the school has to be affiliated for the pupils to be able to use it. It's very good.

If not, what about a book? There are lots of different ones to choose from in Smiths, for example.

Is maths whizz any good for you? Mine are a bit younger it goes up to 13 I think.

Thanks. I'll have a look.

Here's a Fab site, I recommend the interactive versions but it's all really good.

Carol Voderman has a set maths topic on algebra. It starts at the very basics but its good for getting the grounding before moving on. i THINK you pay a set fee for the topic. When you start it is so so easy but it really does help to get the message across.

Whizz is good for teaching basics but doesnt cover enough algebra.

I would also search out algebra maths games online to see what sites appeal.
type in ks3 algebra

whilst writing this, just done a search and this came up. Lots of examples.
