Not SATS, but what my DD tells me is "rat testing?"Confused Every week or so, DD and a few other pupils gets pulled out of their lessons, to go to the student support base where they do some kind of assessments. ( please bear with me, I only got told about this tonight, by my DD - who was very unclear about the details).

She says she has to "read some words, answer some questions which get scored. Even 2 points for writing my name!"

Does anyone have any idea as to what this may be for? DD has SN, and we are waiting for an Ed Pysch assessment, so I did wonder if it was part of that - but DD tells me that she has done this since Y7 - she is now Y9. But this is the first I have heard about it....

Thanks Cat. DD seems just as confused as I do - but seemingly has never thought to ask why her and a couple of classmates have done this since Y7!

Cat - school arent exactly forthcoming with IEPs etc - we are currently in the middle of a very long battleSad

Now that CAMHS have assessed DD ASD (on top of the dyspraxia, processing problems etc) - I need to sort yet another meeting to sort out some support for her. They keep ignoring my requests for an IEPHmm
