I really did appreciate her taking the time out to send me an email as my DS couldn't get an appointment for parents evening . I sent her a reply saying thank you and please contact me if she had any worries in the future . (as an after thought what level is 5c TIA )
BUT spot the mistakes in her email . (I bet the poor thing was rushing in her lunch break , glad to know she is human LOL }

Dear Mrs wake up and smell the coffee ,
I must apologise for having forgotten to contact you following parent's evening.

Hxxxxxx is a lovely student in English. He is very enthusaiastic and hard-working. His writing is secure, with some nice vocaulary and good use of punctuation. To improve he should ensure he leaves time to proofread work for any spelling mistakes and to check everything makes sense. He appears to have good reading skills and can explain verbally what he understands of a text. However, this has not always transferred well to writing, but this seems to be improving significantly lately. He should make sure that he explains his ideas in as much detail as he can to improve his level. Currently I would place him at a 5c.

get this . Even more kudos (sp) to the woman . I said to DS I see you have rather alot of english home work to do . (project based ) DS yeah but it dosnt have to be in untill after Easter . So I said No dont thinkl so . It has to be in on 4th April . NO he says Mrs XXXXX says she dosnt want to mark it over the holidays so hand it in when you return after holidays ... YES she is a human being . I hope she has a really good break over Easter . LOL

I appreciate the initial opening post but where is the story in someone wanting to actually enjoy their holiday time?

because the home work is on the vle on the computer saying it needs to be in on the 4th of April . So she has changed the date by 3 weeks so she dosnt have to mark it over the holidays thus giving her a more enjoyable holiday . There is no Story its just nice to think she is going to have a more relaxed time .
