German Exchange - eek!

DS has been invited to do the German exchange. Deal is a German lad comes across and stays with us for a week and then 10 pupils from DS's school go across to Germany for a week.

I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for DS but I have my reservations as I have no confidence with other people's kids!! I'd be a nervous wreck all week!

Has anyone ever done this?

I've been on a German Exchange as a pupil. To be honest, the whole trip will be so structured, with trips during the day, BBQs, discos etc in the evening, that you won't have to do too much entertaining. If you can hook up with another family on the exchange, then the four kids can do stuff together which takes the pressure off you even more.

Please let him do it, he will have a wonderful time!!
