Yes you can, we are appealing for our DS who has aspergers on the grounds that change etc causes him anxiety and distress.

Put in the appeal that you feel that certain aspects of the school such as the buddy system will benefit him and why, have you got any evidence to back it up? You could get a statement from your GP, current teachers etc, the more the better.

Is anyone else he knows going to the school you want to appeal to? if he has bonds with these children use that in the appeal.

How are you going to get him to school, be prepared as they will ask you things like this and may suggest that he would get worried having to travel etc.

You can use this as grounds for your appeal. How strong that will be will depend on the evidence you put forward. If you can get independent evidence to support what you say it will definitely help. There is, of course, no guarantee that your appeal will be successful. That depends in part on how strong the case is to refuse admission.
