Hi, we've just got some revision books for science, maths, English and French, for my DSDs who are in yr8. They've agreed to do 'extra stuff' when they stay here (they are struggling at school) so that's a start - just wondering what to do! They'd get bored very quickly just working through the questions, so I'd like some more fun stuff.

So far I have:
Quizzes
Posters/leaflets on a topic
PowerPoint presentations

...any other inspiration? :)

Tarsia is a free programme that allows you to create jigsaws. It is designed for Maths but can be used for other subjects. You input questions and answers and then it prints the pieces out to be cut up and matched to form a shape. You may need to do preparation making them or if possible get them to make them for each other.

Tarsia is free 5to download. There are loads of puzzles ready made you can download or make your own. I think they would benefit from making them as well as solving them which is what I have done in classroom siyuations and then they solve each others reinforcing conceot further.
See here and here

Ooh that looks good thanks - I'll download tomorrow as I'm on my phone ATM. I'm sure having computer-related stuff will help them stay interested!
