Continued Interest List-Secondary

I have noticed on a few threads that people have been contacted by schools stating that their DC has got a place.We live in Herts and I thought that we wouldnt get any calls etc until after 18th March-have I misunderstood the system? DC sat an exam for one partial selective Grammar and the other school is a Community school . Any advice gratefully received

We did get a phone call from our second choice school (neighbouring LEA) this week and they wanted us to confirm that our dd had been offered a place elsewhere (our first choice school in our LEA). My guess is that they will now be offering a place to somebody else.
I would phone the schools you are interested in to state that you are still interested.
