Ibstock PLace... Problems with Staffing?

I have to decide whether to send DS to Ibstock or 3 or 4 similar schools as have been offered places at all of these but not to our first choice of Hampton.

I looked at the school website and they are advertising for (wait for it!)

Head of Science, Head of Biology, Head of Humanities and a Teacher of physics.

This worries me. Does anyone have any information about what is going on there? To lose one head of department in a year may be regarded as a misfortune. To lose 3 plus a physics teacher looks like carelessness!

All views, responses gratefully received - the sooner the better as we are being pressured to give them a £1,000.00 deposit ASAP.

I have heard of high staff turnover there, on the local grapevine. What are your other choices?

BTW we are in the same boat re Hampton!

Didn't acceptances have to be in yesterday?

Does any current parent have concerns about this? Anyone else with a view or info? Sorry to press but time is of the essence and we kind of have to make a decision today.

I am seeing a mum with a dc currently at Ibstock this afternoon so will ask her but won't be back until after 3.30 so that might be too late for you.

What were your other choices? We were offered Ibstock but preferred another school so turned their offer down (not because of staffing problems)

Tricky! KGS is definitely closest to Hampton if that was your first choice, but what a great offer from Ibs. Have you looked at the other threads on Ibstock and the Good Schools Guide? I know someone who has chosen Ibstock over KGS, but that was because other friends were going there. We were on the waiting list for KGS but decided not to continue as we'd already decided to go with our first choice school.
