My daughter has just missed the pass mark for grammar school, a local grammar and the preffered catholic school, only by a few points! I have been told that she can take a 12 + at the end of the year. a different exam to the 11 plus. Has anyone had experience of this?

As she was so close to the pass mark I would appeal, not all the pupils at the grammar school will take the offered place and your daughter may get in.

Are the school supporting an appeal for your dd as it only by a few marks?

no, she has been a borderline case, but has done well. The grammar school said she can be reassessed at the end of this year, a 12 plus exam and i wondered if anyone else has done this. My daughter is heartbroken, she is tho only one not to get in and to be just a few marks off id frustrating.
