Setting up a school in Fulham

Hi!

I am interested in setting up a secondary school in Fulham specialising in languages based on the International School model. Although the area has a few high performing faith schools the secular ones are ranked amongst the worst in London. I'm inspired by the KIPP Charter schools in the US and Free schools in Sweden and would like to find similar like-minded folks to help my get the school up and running.

Check out the newschoolsnetwork.org.uk.

Have you considered any of the practicalities (eg a site), and do you know if there is demand for such a school in your area. In order to progress your application, you will need to prove demand.

You will also need to work with a trustee organisation who will help you with the setting up and running of the school. This publication gives an overview of most of these organisations

Are there any independent schools in your area that would be interested in converting to a free school?
