homework on measuring environmental factors

DD has left it until the last minute as homework is due tomorrow.

She has to write about to meaasure the different environmental factors (moisture, wind, light and temperature)

HELP!

Is it the weather she is recording? Not sure what you mean by environmental factors? Is it Geography or Science H/W?

Anyway as a geographer:

Moisture - rain would be with a rain gauge and humudity with a humidity meter.
There are also gadgets that measure soil moisture etc
Light - light meter.
Wind speed - anemometer
Wind direction - weather vane
Temperature - thermometer - usually max/min

The best source is the Met Office website or even the BBC, definitely worth getting images of equipment and explaining how it works. If it is not Geography, not sure about what they want in science.

I would think so but it depends if they are specific environmental factors - e.g. environmental factors that affect the growth of trees (just something off the top of my head!)

I think it will be fine as long as she takes something in tomorrow.
Not a great week for any homework that requires time and effort. Her great nan is in hospital so we are spending a lot if time up the hospital.
Hopefully she will be home this week so everything will settle down again at home
