I can't stand this system of entrance exams we are in a horrid situation as the local grammar school which is our closest secondary school has a very difficult entrance exam! which ds has taken but don't think he has passed as he said he missed out alot of questions. We will prob have to look further but then school is not in walking distance and have added prob of him traveling ect.ds has taken 3 exams but when i phone the schools they just say results will be sent as soon as poss.so everyday i am on edge with worry about which school he will get? so is he! not fair on kids this age :( or already stressed mothers!
Rant over.

I feel your pain! Or at least I will soon! My ds is taking his exam in November, and then we won't find out until March!

I know the grammar and comp schools all have to coordinate and send out letters at the same time, but does it really have to take sooo long?

I hope you get the results you want.

Thanks lots of luck to your ds too :) different systems all over country some worse than others. I watched the tv program on Birmingham where lots sit 5 exams. My ds has sat 3 that's enough coz he got stressed. He asked me again last night when he will know what school even though I told him we won't know for sure till march. We get results next week tho so counting down the days! Can't think about anything else.

We know the results in Lincolnshire, but the children don't get to hear until Saturday! Every time I see the mums of the children in my class who sat the 11+ I want to drop HUGE hints but I'm not allowed Sad

yes....don't fret because what wil be will be. To your son "a lot" could be three...which might not be so bad at all.
