Any thoughts or experiences of this school?? Is it as good as 'they' say??

FRIENDS SONS GO THRE SEEMS TO BE FANTASTIC SCHOOL.BTW POP GROUP CALLED SPANDAU BALLET ALL WENT THERE.
SEEMS HARD TO GET INTO THO.

its meant to be an excellant school.

Yes its a good school but as most of its intake is selected via an academic entrance exam it would be strange if it didn't get good results.
Pastoral care is not as good as it could/should be but if your child is bright with no particular issues or problems then there's nothing to sort about.

Very good school. Only 60 places per year by academic selection - there are 8 0r 9 classes in each year. However, siblings take up a lot of the other places. It is very hard to get in on catchment unless you live on the doorstep. Around 1500 children take the entrance exam each year.

It is quite isolated - if they miss the designated bus that stops at the school, it is a trek to Potters Bar station or a lift. Quite stressful if they want to do afterschool activities on winter evenings.
