Is anyone familiar with the creative thinking qualification?

DD has done the level 5 creative thinking qualification this year. I discovered well into it that it’s not a SQA qualification It’s done by Napier university through daydream believers.

Because it’s not SQA it isn’t showing on her results today. A quick search says that results come via the school (which I’ve tried ringing). I’ve also tried emailing daydream believers. Does anyone have experience of the process? She needs it to get into college.

We deliver Creative Thinking at my school too.

The award will show on the school’s SEEMIS system, and your young person’s school should be able to confirm the award with the college. Although it’s not a Qualifications Scotland award, it does carry SCQF points.

Teachers and the staff who would deal with this are still on holiday, so it’s unlikely that the college will require confirmation as a condition of entry before schools return.

I’d recommend contacting your child’s guidance teacher once the schools return. They should be able to print off the full list of qualifications your child has achieved.
