Recommendations for plumbers, sparks, joiners in Glasgow

As per title!

DS is in in first flat in Glasgow and it needs some work doing. He's having problems even getting trades to reply to emails and messages. I left Glasgow a few years back and the guys I've relied on in the past have retired. Can anyone here recommend anyone?

Which area of Glasgow? Most good ones are so busy they will only work in one neighbourhood. I have a good plumber rec. They came out quickly after an emergency and did not rip me off. I'm in the West End. This is Derek at Caledonian Plumbers 0141 573 2678

He's near St George's Cross so cusp of West End and City Centre.
