Heading down to Edinburgh for a few days. Where has a good stock of Jellycats? DD is really into them just now.

Staying in the Old Town so ideally somewhere walkable.

Blackwells bookshop used to have a big bucket of them downstairs, but I didn’t see it last time I was in. Paper Tiger always have jellycats but I don’t think they have a branch in the old town?

I don’t know Edinburgh that well but there’s a shop with loads of Jellycats in. Am off to google and see if I can remember

Eden on Cockburn st is the bigger one I’m thinking of. Google also throws up Squish which I remember going in.

I think they were one of the many many loyal stockists that Jelly Cats ruthlessly shafted. What a scuzzy company! Try to be ethical OP and avoid like hell!

That’s so sad. It was genuinely the biggest range of jellycats I’ve seen. I do really dislike what they’ve done. The only stockist in our city got binned, nice independent shop with a whole wall of jelly cats. And now they’ve allowed a fairly small (but posh) farm shop a few miles away to stock a very small range. Doesn’t make sense.

JulietteHasAGun · 03/04/2026 18:59

I checked. Eden are still a stockist.

Alicorn1707 · 03/04/2026 19:03

@angelopal perhaps Squish on Victoria Street

FunnyOrca · 03/04/2026 19:10

Eden on Cockburn Street would be my first stop if they are indeed still stockists.

Paper Tiger (a few locations) have definitely got less than they used to have but “rare” jellycats still turn up in them.

Alicorn1707 · 03/04/2026 19:16

Cockburn and Victoria St. are within easy walking distance of each other @angelopal

TartanMammy · 04/04/2026 23:31

Squish is the place to go in Edinburgh for jelly cats with the insta/tiktok lot.

Thanks for the replies. Will check them out.

Personally while they are cute they are way over priced for what they are. Unfortunately DD loves them. She is into Jellycats and skin care and would much rather buy her Jellycats.

The Royal Museum on Chambers Street stocks them. Not sure how big a range though.
They had peanuts and avocados. And space themed ones.

weareallqueens · 10/04/2026 20:41

John Lewis have some.

They really piss me off though. They deliberately under- produce to create demand for their over- priced teddies, which is a horrible manipulation of wee ones (and their parents). They never used to be like this - both of my girls got a few when they were babies, and while not cheap they weren’t exorbitant.

Chigreenen · 10/04/2026 21:02

I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that they’d been bought out by a private equity firm. Their morals and ethics are in the gutter.
