Children’s Dental Hygienist

Hi, I’m in Fife and looking for a hygienist to clean my 7 year olds teeth. Our current dentist sees them yearly. They have a visible build up in front and behind their bottom teeth despite brushing twice a day with an electric toothbrush.

Our dentist said they won’t get this cleaned until they are 18…

Im trying to find a dental hygienist who will provide cleaning for a child, likely it would need to be private but any help appreciated.

Can’t you take over cleaning their teeth for them? (Apologies if you already do this) maybe add in brushing after school as well as morning and night.

I do brush for them.

We took our DS to the hygienist in our dentist from around that age. We paid for it though so I presume it’s not covered by the NHS. He goes every 6 months and was recommended while he had braces too.
