Ayr races

Anyone been to ladies day at Ayr Racecourse? I have a couple of questions please.
it’s in April, in Scotland! I have a lovely outfit and sandals, will I be frozen or are there places to stand inside. Currently debating a smart coat purchase!
What are the options for food on the day (we’ve not got hospitality package) and is the bar expensive?

I have never been to Ladies day but have been to another race meeting at Ayr.

It depends what type of ticket you have which areas you can access. The grandstand is effectively outdoors. The enclosures are all outdoors but each had a marquee attached. You could watch the races on a TV screen indoors but couldn't see the actual racetrack.

I am guessing if you have a hospitality package you will be able to access an indoor area of some kind but will want to be outside when the actual races are taking place.

Yes, the bar is expensive. Think theatre prices.
