So we booked flights to Atlanta last week. Took a risk and it has sort of paid off as the same flights have now quadrupled in price since the draw.
we have flights booked to travel up to Boston for the second match, but I’m looking at acccomodation options and it is extortionate..

Thank you for responding. Im
looking to see if there are any fellow Scots travelling over.
Have you got tickets to the matches? If not, any tips to acquire tickets?
Have you arranged flights? And did you get a good deal?
Have you arranged accommodation yet in Boston or Miami?
anyone familiar with either city and proximity to the stadiums?
what is the public transport system like?
what would be the best, safest and most affordable parts of the cities to stay in?
should we book accommodation now or wait until closer to the time?
are you taking children with you?
best ways to get from airport into the cities?
what if you’ve taken a risk and booked a different ( albeit East coast city) to travel to?
and travel company recommendations?

soo many questions, and will potentially be more closer to the time, such as meeting points, places to avoid, Tartan army marches etc.

hope that helps

We are waiting to see how much the tickets we are allocated cost before booking travel.

The stadium in Miami is pretty far from where the hotels etc are and very limited public transport.

Booked Boston today to cover the first 2 games. Booked through Expedia ( not cheap but if it's another 28 years till we qualify, I'll be too old!). France 98 was amazing and had tickets for 2 games then but not expecting to get tickets this time despite being a Travel Club member for 30 years. Just going for the party; can't wait.

Have you booked flights and accommodation for Boston through Expedia and has this been confirmed? I always worry about third party sites, but then again we’ve got a booking for accommodation with Booking.com

where about in Boston are you staying? There are five of us so it’s pricey!

All booked and confirmed; staying at the Harbourside Inn in Boston. Flights aren't direct though; stop overs in Germany for around 5hrs there and back. You're right though.......VERY pricey.

My daughter booked her multi location trip to Italy last year using Expedia and didn't have any problems.

FIFA open ballot is now open

soundsys · 11/12/2025 22:38

Have you seen the price of tickets?!

Iamtheresurrection · 12/12/2025 07:38

Yeah, it’s making me think twice. We’d get the supporters club ones but it would be the most expensive ones 😞

coleslaws · 12/12/2025 07:39

The ticket prices are shocking. Approximately 20% more than initially promised. It’s all leaving a bit of a sour taste just now. I don’t think I would have chosen to holiday in the US if Scotland hadn’t qualified. Now we are sort of tied in and I feel very ripped off.
got a good deal for a Miami hotel mind you.

I have booked flights for my 2 young adult boys. Flying from Edinburgh to Boston and out of Miami - they were about £930 which I thought wasnt too bad. I looked on Skyscanner and they had good deals but when i tried to book they didnt exist. Grr!

Now i need to get accommodation. Hope that isnt going to be a nightmare. Suspect they wont get tickets or they will cost an arm and a leg.

I think life is much easier when we just don't qualify!

coleslaws · 19/12/2025 21:40

We are flying into Atlanta. Booked this before we knew the results of the draw. Got a good deal- £500 pp from London return. The flight prices have since quadrupled! The internal flights weren’t too bad.
the accommodation and match tickets will likely bankrupt us

We’re not going (health reasons and the fact I’ll not spend money where Trump is) but have loads of folk who are.
