Kaye Adams

Noticed there has been lots of media coverage about Kaye Adams being ' suspended' from presenting "Mornings" on BBC Radio Scotland . Tonight I read that she has no clue why.
She is self employed and is said to earn £150,000 pa for part time work. She seems to work Mon - Tues/ Wed 9am-12 noon and hosts the popular phone in.
Not sure what to think- it all seems very public for some reason and with little evidence of any wrongdoing.
Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts?

Complaints regarding Bullying to junior staff.

I've always liked her and am really hoping this turns out to be untrue.

Every mention of her I’ve seen has been very clear. She has been accused of bullying and suspended while it’s being investigated - standard practice. The evidence of that situation wouldn’t be made public, it will be a workplace grievance and all involved parties are entitled to privacy with that.
I’m sure I saw her on Loose Women this week so she’s still working on other things, just suspended from the radio show.

Yes, have read about alleged allegations made.
But tonight ( MoS) seems to have KA saying she doesn't know why and has seen no evidence.
Guess we will find out outcome in due course.
I enjoy her morning radio shows when WFH

My research into the matter doom scrolling on Twitter has informed me it's because she's a unionist [insert slur of choice] and the SNP wanted her got rid of and they are in charge at BBC Scotland so that's what happened.

I learned more about the posters from that than I did about what Kaye may or may not have done.

I too hope the allegations are untrue, I always thought she seemed nice.

She is on air those times. Her working hours will be much longer although probably not full time.

I can't say I know nor care about Kaye Adams, although I've had the displeasure in past jobs to come across many other Scottish media presenters and every single one was up their own arse so I wouldn't be surprised if Kaye was too.

To me it seems harsh and unfair for all this to be made public before there is a conclusion as to whether it's true or not. Mud sticks and reputation is everything.

Papers reporting she was fired from this job. I was also hoping it wasn't true as she's very likeable on air but it sounds like there were multiple grievances from junior staff members.

Just read online confirmation of her dismissal. Three counts of misconduct detailed.
Ah well. Guess she could appeal.
Grant Stott to be her replacement on Mornings apparently. New direction for him.
