I'm organising a trip to Edinburgh in November. Can anyone please recommend a pub/restaurant for 8?
We would love relaxed, traditional cosy pub vibes near Edinburgh centre.

It's a chain but Cote on Frederick Street is really nice and has a private area you can book for larger tables.

The Cumberland has a good vibe & decent food - in the New Town

another vote for the Queens Arms if you want a pub

Have afternoon tea on the Royal Yacht Britannia

We've eaten at Howies a few times with large groups - very accommodating

Chez Jules on Hanover Street is a favourite of ours - rustic French restaurant, very relaxed and serves amazing food at a reasonable price.

I like Howie's too.
