I have an appointment at the Western General and am travelling from outside Edinburgh. I'll be coming by train but assume I can get a bus from close to either Haymarket or Waverley - which is best ? Also which bus is best ?

I’d get off at Haymarket, walk to Morrison Crescent and get the 22 bus.

There’s a few options - there’s the option of getting off at haymarket or if you get off at Waverley you can get the 19, 29, or 37

Haymarket has buses around every 15 mins. My mum works at the western and gets off the train at haymarket and a bus up to the hospital. I can ask her tomorrow and post back with which buses if you like :)

There’s no bus directly from Haymarket, the 22 is the closest but that’s not a very regular service. I’d stay onto Waverley and get one of the services mentioned above from the stop at the top of Waverley steps.

Thanks again all - I got a taxi from Haymarket to WG but did get the 22 back to the station after. Think next time would go in to Waverley as there is a little more choice of buses.
