We've just had a spanking new kitchen fitted and fancy visiting some kitchen/cookware shops on a few away days to kit it out. Where's your favourite?

IKEA! Or Lakeland if you want pricey stuff.

Dawson’s shop is in Skipton Yorkshire. I buy from them online at www.ecookshop.co.uk .

Papyrus in Byres Road Glasgow has nice cookshop Plus you get some nice cheese for your new kitchen at the fancy cheese shop on Byres Road.

Bluebellgray has nice enamel kitchenware and napkins/runners.

I'd recommend Livingston outlet as there's a denby and a le cruseut outlet shop plus many others. Easy parking too.

For day to day gadgets and things I’d never think of I love pro cook

always like jumping into le creuset in Gretna when I’m there

Papyrus is great for kitchen stuff.

Do you want standard shops like Lakeland and Le Creuset suggested by PP, or are you looking for more quirky and individual items? If the latter, then you could try bigger Farm Shops or Nice Things shops in wee villages.

I like Restoration Yard in Dalkeith Country Park, or various farm shops off the A9 in between Stirling and Perth. If you are travelling south through the Lakes then Tebay services has a good range of Nice Things cookware and artisan food. Busy as he'll though.

Dunkeld and Birnam have Nice Things shops with cookware, as does Pitlochry and Aberfeldy.

TK Maxx also has mix of standard brands and quirky things (I really wish I had bought a big vase with multi coloured balls stuck around it).
