I grew up in the Grampian TV area so we never got Cartoon Cavalcade but I used to read very jealously about it in the Sunday Post or Mail.
OH was brought up in Glasgow and has very fond memories of it. He was trying to tell me about Paladin the talking lamp the other day.

Total legend, heard that theme tune and I was back in the 70s..

Aww sad to hear i loved his wee dog Rusty!

So sad! Such a good age though. I remember Paladin the lamp being a bit scary!

I felt so sad when I heard earlier. 99 is a great age. He was a one of a kind.

I loved Cartoon Cavalcade. My Granny took me to see Glen, Rusty the dog and Paladin in the local theatre. I have a signed photo somewhere.

Oh my! That's sad news - RIP. I absolutely loved Cartoon Cavalcade - remember it very fondly from the 80s. I think we might even have seen a live version of the show?

I saw a live version of the show as a child I'm sure. Later as a teenager my school band played at one of the Glen Michael roadshows.

Love cartoon cavalcade. RIP.
