Personal trainer in Edinburgh

I would really like to start working out with a personal trainer, can anyone recommend one? I don't know where to start. I have contacted a couple of gyms and they seem very vague and unhelpful.

How many sessions would you want to do a week?

gyms usually have their own PTs so you need to be a member and pay for PT on top. Others work outside in parks so no gym membership on top and there might be a few that have access to their own indoor facilities. Rob Quarm is excellent, last I heard he was working out of the gym at Cameron Toll but used to do outdoor training.

If you are on FB, there have been recommendations for Edinburgh PTs on EGG - worth a search.

I go to one of "the gym group" in Edinburgh and they have some great trainers. I have a session once a week. Gym group only costs me just under £20 a month. The trainers' prices vary. Mine is £30 a session.

The chap mentioned at the Cameron Toll gym is still there. Rob Quarm. I go 4x per week and he's there quite regularly

A friend of mine has had great results with Nelson at NM fitness. He’s on Instagram. Works from a place at Tollcross. She had no gym experience and he has helped her enormously.

I used Chris King from King Fitness (he's on Facebook). He works at JD gym but will do anywhere including at home.

Project Strength and Fitness based at Peffermill have a gym based PT program. You'll find them on Facebook.
Or Alastair Davidson via Buggy Bootcamp. I'm pretty sure he does individual PT sessions too.
