Keyboard for school iPad

DS has a school issued iPad and has requested a separate keyboard for P7 - after the holidays.
Can anyone recommend one - wireless preferred.
Apparently the school iPads don't allow Bluetooth connection due to cyber security concerns so it would have to be a dongle connection.
I did suggest he asked his classmates what keyboard they use but information has not been forthcoming.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Why do you want wireless in particular? If you can use Bluetooth a simple plug it in keyboard could work fine. Only thing is you can't charge while using.

I'd suggest a Logitech K380 - I use it with my iPad and my Mac Mini - you can pick one up for about £20 on eBay - one of the nicest keyboards I've ever used. Wireless, good battery life for a couple of AAA batteries.

I think if I get an adapter for the USB-C post of the iPad, DS can go wireless with a Dongle rather than Bluetooth. I'll look at that recommendation, thanks @larkstar.

I teach and the pupils who use keyboards all use basic plug in ones - they are about the same width as the iPad. I'm still querying the dongle need as they use the iPad and keyboard very close together anyway - I can't see the advantage of one that needs a dongle. (That's with me assuming it's easier and cheaper to get a wired one).

I used to have an iPad Air 2 and I had a case for it which had a built-in keypad. The way it was set up made it like a mini laptop so the screen was upright rather than flat on the table.
