Restaurant recs central Edinburgh

Hello

Can anyone recommend a good restaurant in central Edinburgh ( we are staying on Cowgate). Looking for a buzzy atmosphere, relaxed rather than fine dining. We like all kinds of food, especially sushi and Italian.

Vittoria on the Bridge or Gordons on the Royal Mile

I went to The Whiski Room recently, food was really good, traditional Scottish pub food done really well and the staff are lovely. Beautiful views outside, especially at sunset.
