Lucky enough to be going to gleneagles at the weekend for afternoon tea but unsure what to wear. I think the weather to be nice so thinking of a long summer dress and sandals but not sure-, will it be smart enough? don’t want to get it wrong ☹️

Wow! You’ve brought back memories of when I went there when I was 5 in 1967! Amazing place! Have so much fun 🤩

I would think so. I haven't been there myself but sister lives in Aberdeen and she's been there a few times. She's has a smart casual type of style so I think what you've got planned to wear sounds lovely. Hope you have a lovely time.

I just spent the weekend at Gleneagles for my DH's 50th! It's really nice there and not stuffy at all so I think what you have planned will be fine. If you're wearing sandals though, get a pedicure. I didn't, so hit my feet in shoes all weekend even though the weather was lovely. Also the grounds are really nice so take comfy shoes for a walk too. Have a fab time!

Gleneagles stands out as the best afternoon tea I have ever had, by far. Lucky you! We went while we were watching a golf tournament so we were not dress up at all and it was fine. A summer dress sounds perfect.

In the Glendevon? That doesn't have a dress code, so wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Oh how lovely! Come back and tell us all about it @Hopeitsallok

Sorry for late reply girls - gleneagles was absolutely brilliant, a really lovely experience- if I had endless cash I’d definitely book a stay there. The service was so lovely and although it is a high end hotel it didn’t feel at all stuffy, everyone was very welcoming and friendly.. Glad I wore my dress, it was a beautiful sunny day although there was people in jeans and sandals so anything goes 😊

That sounds fab! I would worry i wouldn't fit in somewhere like that, but it sounds very welcoming.

Glad you enjoyed it all.
